Coming to Mammoth with your family? There are lots of activities designed to please even the smallest members! On Mammoth Mountain itself are the following "Adventure Zones" designed for families:

"Woolly's Woods" at chair 11
"Twilight Zone" off Forrest Trail
"Alligator Pit" at chair 17
"Voodoo Chute" off Juniper

There is also a state licensed child care option at the Main Lodge for ages newborn to 8 years providing age appropriate activities.

To take your family experience a step further, consider a dogsled ride from Main Lodge or go snowtubing at "Sledz" on Minaret Road (cash only), or ride the Scenic Gondola to the summit of Mammoth Mountain (11,053 feet) for a stunning view, a visit to the Interpretive Center and the "Top of the Sierra Cafe". Your family will be building memories to fuel stories around the dinner table for years to come!

If you venture further off the mountain there is outdoor ice skating at Mammoth Ice Rink in town, movies at Minaret Cinema, shops in Minaret Mall, Sierra Center Mall, the Outlet Mall and throughout town, as well as in "the Village at Mammoth". Explore the history of skiing at the Mammoth Ski Museum at 100 College Parkway or dig further into history at the Mammoth Museum at 5489 Sherwin Creek Road to round out your experiences. You will find interesting things to explore everywhere you look in Mammoth.
