Sierra Star Golf Course is the highest 18 hole public golf course in California, at 8,000 feet altitude, which actually allows you to add yards to your drive. The highest hole is at 8,050 feet, the lowest is at 7,897 feet. Located at the base of Mammoth Mountain, you will be treated to sights of beautiful wildflowers, views of mountains in every direction, fairways lined with pines, and quite often, white tailed deer as your companions!

Sierra Star is a championship 18 hole course, par 70, with 6,708 yards of golf from the back tees. It was designed by Cal Olson of Newport Beach in 1999, and has been designed to U.S.G.A. standards.
