Mammoth Front Desk is a family-owned and operated business. Partners John & Peter Johnston, a father and son team, have combined their experience towards creating a business of excellence and integrity before both God and man. Assisting in this partnership is a first-rate marketing and advertising specialist.

John has been enjoying the Mammoth Lakes area with his family as a camper and fly fisherman for the past 20+ years. Recently, however, John and his wife, Lynell, were able relocate from the San Diego area to Mammoth Lakes and now proudly call this their home. In addition to his love for and familiarity with the Mammoth Lakes area, John also brings to MFD twenty years of professional sales and marketing experience. He will be using these skills to both develop the on-line Vacation Planner and provide expert oversight to Mammoth Front Desk.

Peter and his wife, Jennifer, moved to Mammoth Lakes with their two boys from southern California in December of 2003. At that time, Peter took on a management position with Viewpoint Condominiums and has since used his management and computer skills to take Viewpoint to the next level. The condominium project now offers a first-class website complete with on-line reservations and also state-of-the-art reservation software. Peter has developed the business plan for Mammoth Front Desk based on his time spent listening to the comments, concerns, questions, and desires of owners and guests alike at Viewpoint. He believes that Mammoth Front Desk really does provide the best of both worlds for both the property owner and the vacationing guest.

Jennifer has worked in office management and customer service for the past 13 years. From city government to real estate, retail sales to university admissions, Jennifer has developed a wide variety of talents that she is now applying to Mammoth Front Desk. Jennifer's main mission is to see that each and every person who contacts MFD is responded to in a prompt and professional manner, holding to the business' 24-hour response guarantee.
